P&A Foundation scholars begin their career at the Firm
The P&A Foundation extends its scholarship program to deserving students of partner institutions. The Foundation has proudly sponsored the education of young professionals from their university studies to their board exam review.
P&Ause together with “Alice in Wonderland”
P&A Foundation, through its CSR arm, P&A for a Cause (P&Ause), in partnership with the De La Salle University – Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (DLSU-JPIA), conducted “A Million Trees and Beyond” last October 10, 2015 at Sitio Kayreyna, Barangay Lumaniag, Lian, Batangas.
Auditing firm builds a school in Pampanga
Leading audit, tax, advisory and outsourcing services firm Punongbayan & Araullo (P&A), through its corporate social responsibility arm, the P&A Foundation, helped build the P&A Foundation Learning Center for the students and faculty of Sta. Cruz Pambilog Elementary School, San Luis, Pampanga. The Learning Center was built in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of P&A and the 75th birthday of its founders, Ben Punongbayan and Joe Araullo. P&A chairman and chief executive Marivic Españo (front row, second left) led the inauguration ceremonies of the learning center.
*PAUSE for iTayo Na
PAUSE together with iTayo Na, a group that was established who helps rebuild the municipality of San Luis Pampanga, sponsored the building of a day care center. PAUSE volunteers went to San Luis, Pampanga last January 19 to 20 to help build the classroom and enjoy the team building activities that were organized by iTayo Na.
*PAUSE for Mindanao
PAUSE from its funds, donated food packs to 415 families who were affected by Typhoon Pablo in Mindanao.
*Christmas tree joint project with PCG
PCG together with PAUSE raised funds thru a fund raising project of selling bamboo ornaments. Proceeds of the project were donated.
P&Amasko sa Ulingan
PAUSE collaborated with Project PEARLS to organize a Christmas party for the community of Brgy. Ulingan in Tondo, Manila. About 30 P&Aers volunteered for P&Amasko sa Ulingan last 14 December 2012. The celebration was successful in feeding 250 children and 200 factory workers and donating toiletries to them. Brgy. Ulingan is a small slum community which sits on a dump site surrounded by charcoal factories.
*One Drop, One Hope
September 6, 2012 marked an extra-ordinary day for P&A employees. A chance to be a hero for a day was grabbed by many to donate blood for cancer patients through PAUSE’s partnership with Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) Blood Bank and Volunteer Nurses of Hematology and Oncology Center of PCMC. The project One Drop, One Hope was able to collect from 41 qualified donors.
*One For Luzon
One For Luzon was the movement that PAUSE supported for relief efforts from the Habagat on August 7-13, 2012. For this movement, PAUSE was able to contribute 600 food packs, 25 boxes of medicines, clothes, and hygiene items.
P&A Foundation renovates UP JPIA room
The P&A Foundation partnered with the University of the Philippines College of Business Administration (UP CBA) to renovate one room for the UP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants in Diliman, Quezon City. The P&A UP JPIA room, located at the UP CBA building, was inaugurated on August 13, 2012. The Foundation also donated cabinets, tables, white boards, window blinds, sofas, and chairs to furnish the room.
