Last December 21, 2020 P&A Foundation together with our P&Ause Volunteers from P&A Cebu Branch visited Vito Elementary School, a mountain barangay in the Municipality of Minglanilla Cebu, to provide bond papers and other printing materials needed for the modules of their students. A total of 811 Grade 1 to Grade 3 pupils’ education will be aided with these additional materials.
Last December 18, 2020 P&A Foundation partnered with Save the Children to reach out to the greatly affected communities in North Cotabato and Sarangani, and provide them with quality alternative learning experiences. 75 households will be aided with family learning kit which includes a learning corner kit, hygiene materials, and Mapagkalingang Tahanan cards that will equip that adults in the household to support the child’s learning.
In an effort to give hope and happiness to the families affected by Typhoon Ulysses, P&A Foundation together with its P&A Makati volunteers, repacked noche buena packages intended for 300 Families in Rizal and Marikina last December 17-18, 2020.
Typhoon Ulysses, with its heavy rains and fierce winds, have caused massive flooding, submerging house, and power outage. Most of the residents in Rizal and Marikina were washed out and families had to seek temporary shelter after the typhoon.
The most recent typhoon in the Luzon Island was Typhoon Ulysses. The water dumped by the typhoon in most areas in Region 2 is said to be the worst case of flooding in Cagayan since 1975.
Super Typhoon Rolly was an exceptionally powerful tropical cyclone that made landfall as a super typhoon in Catanduanes, Philippines last November 1. The storm brought severe flash flooding to Legazpi, as well as lahar flow from the nearby Mayon Volcano.
Last September 18, 2020 P&A Foundation has supported one of the most affected fields due to COVID-19, Education.
In response to civil society's call to support medical frontliners, P&A Foundation donated P50,000 each to the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCCI) last March 26, 2020 to fund the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE), food, and water supplies of our frontliners in Cebu and Davao.
P&A Foundation donated P500,000 to ABS-CBN Foundation’s Pantawid ng Pag-ibig fundraising campaign. The project helps local governments to provide food and basic necessities to poor families unable to source livelihood as a result of the enhanced community quarantine.
As a response to the recent Taal Volcanic Eruption, P&A Foundation, in partnership with the League of Corporate Foundations, conducted relief operations for the affected communities in Nasugbu, Batangas last January 18, 2020.
