With the heat of the summer sun amid long lines in government offices, taxpayers can now be assured that transacting with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) may be done with a few clicks online, at the comfort of their homes and offices.

New features of the BIR’s Online Registration and Update System are available through the issuance of BIR Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 36-2023 last March 17, 2023. The following are the new features added to the system:

  • Online Payment (e-Payment) of Annual Registration Fee (RF) for New Business Registrants
  • Online Inquiry of RF Payment for BIR Internal users
  • Application for Cancellation of Permit to Use (PTU) Loose-leaf and Acknowledgement Certificate (AC) of Computerized Accounting System (CAS)
  • Online Verification of Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
  • BIR Registered Business Search Facility

This is in addition to the features already available in the ORUS such as the issuance of TIN of taxpayer’s employees, registration of books of accounts, registration for PTU Loose-leaf and CAS and other registration information updates.

Taxpayers who have existing ORUS accounts may avail of the additional features by logging in to their respective accounts. Meanwhile, taxpayers who are yet to have an account may enroll and register with ORUS by filling out BIR Form S-1905 and filing the same before their respective Revenue District Offices.

Please be guided accordingly.
