This Tax Alert is issued to remind all concerned on the deadline of the second quarterly payments of local business tax (LBT).
LBT may be paid on an annual or quarterly basis. Annual payments are generally due on the 20th day of January of each year while quarterly payments are due every 20th day of the first month of each quarter (January 20, April 20, July 20, and October 20).
Taxpayers who opted to pay on a quarterly basis should pay the LBT for the 2nd quarter of 2021 on or before April 20, 2021.
For Quezon City LGU, the deadline for payment of LBT for the year 2021 was initially extended until April 20, 2021. Thus, the first and second quarters’ LBT are both due on April 20, 2021.
