SSS Rationalization Act Signed into Law

Republic Act (RA) No. 11199 or "An Act rationalizing and expanding the powers and duties of the Social Security Commission to ensure the long-term viability of the Social Security System (SSS) " was approved by President Duterte last February 7, 2019.  The law provided for a gradual increase in monthly contributions from the current 11% to 12% effective January 2019.  It will further increase by 1% every other year until it reaches 15% in 2025.  It also provided the gradual adjustment of the minimum and maximum salary credit.

We are also attaching a copy of the signed RA No. 11199 for your guidance.  Please note that SSS has yet to release the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) for this law.
