CLEARR Vision: Jone’s Journey of Purpose, People, and Purple Possibilities

Jone turns values into action—championing student success, building bridges with the academe, and shaping the present and future of the Purple Tribe through purpose-driven leadership.

It is both humbling and inspiring to be recognized as this year’s CLEARR awardee.

The values of which this award was named are at the core of who we are as a Purple Tribe—so, while my name may be on it, it represents the collective effort of the incredible people I work with. Together, we’ve embraced these values to navigate challenges, drive meaningful impact, and stay grounded in purpose. This recognition is a reminder that while there is still much to accomplish, we’ve already made significant strides; and with continued collaboration and intention, we can go even further.

As our Firm’s Academic Partnerships and Talent Pipeline Manager, I see my role as both a privilege and responsibility. Having direct access to students and young professionals means we get to be part of their journeys, both academic and professional. My mindset is simple: if we can make their path a little better, a little brighter, and give them a glimpse of the purple culture we’re so proud of, then we’ve done our job well. The work is not always easy, but when challenges come, we remind ourselves that we’re not just supporting careers; we’re scaffolding successes. And that’s always worth it.

In my time here at P&A Grant Thornton, I’ve had many unforgettable moments together with my team. One of my most memorable experiences was spearheading the 26th Search for the Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines (SOASP), my very first SOASP with the Academe unit. Preparing for a nationwide event was a challenge for me and my team in every sense: stakeholder management, school coordination, endless planning, simulations, late nights, and extra hours. But seeing the smiles of the participants, the heartfelt thanks from schools, and the appreciation of collaborators made it all worth it. For me, it validated my belief that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well. That ‘genuine’ effort never goes to waste when the goal is to create remarkable experiences for others. That SOASP will always be extra special too, as it helped inspire the top 1 in the May 2025 CPALE to join the Purple Tribe. It was nothing short of extraordinary!

At the Purple Tribe, I discovered that my own happiness and sense of success come from helping others find theirs. Whether it’s making their work lighter, opening doors of opportunity, or setting them up for growth, it gives me fulfilment. After seven years in education, working with the Purple Tribe showed me that I can continue to help shape young dreams; just in a different form. It’s a privilege to keep making a difference, and it reminds me why I love what I do.

To the aspiring students out there, P&A Grant Thornton is a place of endless possibilities. What you are now is never the limit of what you can become. Imagine the kind of person you want to be, take the steps toward it, enjoy the detours, but always keep your goal in sight. Along your journey, know that there's a place that feels like home; a space where you can grow, flourish, and belong. For those already with us, let’s keep growing together.
