P&Agkalinga: Livelihood and educational assistance to families in Cagayan and kids in Manila North Cemetery

In celebration of GT in the Community 2021, P&A for a Cause, in partnership with Rotaract Manila Premier, conducted a two-part CSR activity last November 12, 2021.

The first activity was repacking and distribution of relief goods to those affected by Typhoon Maring. For the second set of activities, P&A for a Cause partnered with Kapatiran Kaunlaran Foundation, Inc. (KKFI), wherein their adopted families in Manila North Cemetery (MNC) received educational (for kids) and livelihood (for moms) assistance. P&A for a Cause also helped in renovating the Learning Facility in MNC.

During the mini program, the kids bonded with the volunteers through a game and even learned proper handwashing techniques through Streets to School. Meanwhile, mothers attended short seminars about Violence Against Women and Children (conducted by Atty. Azanith Payad from P&A) as well as a Livelihood Program session (conducted by Ms. Cristina Caranto from Rotaract).

At the end of the program, kids and moms received school supplies, vitamins, and hygiene kits (kids) and cooking sets (mothers).

Likewise, P&Ause officially turned over 520 relief goods to our partner NGO, Tayo Para sa Bayan. The food and hygiene kits will eventually be distributed to 520 families who were victims of #MaringPh in Aparri, Cagayan.
