For P&A Cebu’s P&Ananom, a tree planting activity and an outreach program for the local farmers of Barangay Bonbon, Cebu City was conducted in coordination with the Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENR) –and with barangay representatives.
Over 100 fruit-bearing seedlings had been planted in the vicinity of the barangay. Each P&A volunteer planted at least 5 seedlings, bringing the hope that one day, every single sprout will flourish. It was indeed a joy to see the P&A family becoming one with nature. After planting the seedlings, the volunteers distributed rice, canned goods, and sachets of powdered drinks, as well as farming tools such as boots, gloves, hats, and raincoats to the local farmers. Packed lunches were also distributed and several parlor games were played for recreation.
Over 20 P&A Cebu volunteers from the Audit and Tax divisions participated in the event.
