Annual and short period audit
At P&A Grant Thornton, we provide annual and short period financial statement audit services that go beyond the normal expectations of our clients. We believe strongly that our best work comes from combining outstanding technical expertise, knowledge and ability with exceptional client-focused service.
Review engagement
A review involves limited investigation with a narrower scope than an audit, and is undertaken for the purpose of providing limited assurance that the management’s representations are in accordance with identified financial reporting standards. Our professionals recognize that in order to conduct a quality financial statement review, it is important to look beyond the accounting entries to the underlying activities and operations that give rise to them.

Endel is a Partner in P&A Grant Thornton’s Audit & Assurance Practice Area.

Endel has been in public accounting since he started his career in 2007. He has extensive experience in the financial audits of local and multinational companies. He covered various industries, including gaming and hospitality, real estate and construction, petroleum, food and beverage, technology, mining, pharmaceutical and healthcare, manufacturing, professional services and BPOs, retail and distribution, logistics and non-stock, and non-profit organizations. He also has experience conducting initial public offering (IPO) audits, M&A, and financial due-diligence procedures.

As part of P&A Grant Thornton’s global secondment program, Endel spent a year and a half in the United States (US), where he worked for the New York office of Grant Thornton LLP. While in the US, he handled financial audits of various companies engaged in commercial and industrial activities. He also obtained experience in Sarbanes-Oxley engagements.

Endel also completed his master’s in business administration, majoring in finance with distinction from the Asian Institute of Management and his bachelor’s of science in accountancy from San Beda University.

From Where We Sit Recovery of the Philippine retail industry: Softening the blow

In its latest Philippine Economic Update, the World Bank said the country’s economy could contract by as much as 8.1 percent this year. Although the figure was an unfortunate downward revision from its earlier projection in October, it was still better than the government’s forecast of a 8.5-percent to 9.5-percent GDP contraction. The latest forecast came on the back of expectations that the Covid-19 pandemic’s impact would worsen, lockdown measures, and the country’s first recession since 1991.
