SPA to replace PPPS in all Employer Remittances
PhilHealth released its Circular No. 008-2016 mandating all employers to present their Statement of Premium Accounts (SPA) instead of the PhilHealth Premium Payment Slip (PPPS) to PhilHealth-Accredited Collecting Agents (ACAs) when remitting their premium contribution payments on behalf of their employees. All premium payments shall be supported by SPA effective applicable month of June 2016.
Payment and Reporting of Premium Contributions of Employer & Employee
On 5 March 2015, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) released Circular No. 4-2015 encouraging all employers in the government and private sectors to pay premium contributions at Philhealth's accredited collecting agents (ACAs) or through e-Payment facilities. Moreover, said Circular mandates all employers in the Formal Economy to adopt the Electronic Premium Reporting System (EPRS) as the mode of preparation and transmission of all remittance reports (RF-1).
January 15, 16 and 19, 2015, as special (non-working) days
In view of the visit of the Pope, the Head of State of the Vatican City, Malacanang issued Proclamation No. 936 to declare January 15, 16 and 19, 2015, as special (non-working) days in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Foreigners reminded to report to the Bureau of Immigration
All foreigners in the country are reminded to report in person to the Bureau of Immigration for their annual report starting January 2, 2013 until the first week of March, 2013. As stipulated in the Alien Registration Act of 1950, foreigners staying in the Philippines are required to report to the agency within the first 60 days of every calendar year.
