Accounting Alert

Temporary Use of 2020 Form for Urgent Filing of General Information Sheet on eFAST

Summary

On March 10, 2026, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) released a notice allowing corporations to temporarily use the 2020 General Information Sheet (GIS) form for urgent filings made through the Electronic Filing and Submission Tool (eFAST). This applies to corporations that are still setting up or restoring access to their eSECURE accounts, which provide entry to the Hierarchical and Applicable Relations and Beneficial Ownership Registry (HARBOR).

Key Points

Temporary Use of the 2020 GIS Form

Corporations that have not yet gained access to eSECURE and HARBOR may submit their GIS through eFAST using the 2020 version of the form. The 2020 GIS template is available on the SEC website.

Validity of the Transitional Arrangement

The temporary acceptance of the 2020 GIS Form will remain in effect until 15 April 2026. This measure enables corporations to comply with reportorial requirements while completing access arrangements for HARBOR.

Mandatory Use of the 2026 GIS Form After the Transition

Beginning after 15 April 2026, corporations will be required to use the 2026 GIS Form, which incorporates an updated reporting framework. Under the 2026 version, beneficial ownership declarations must be submitted through HARBOR as part of the Commission’s integrated reporting process.
