Annual and short period audit
At P&A Grant Thornton, we provide annual and short period financial statement audit services that go beyond the normal expectations of our clients. We believe strongly that our best work comes from combining outstanding technical expertise, knowledge and ability with exceptional client-focused service.
Review engagement
A review involves limited investigation with a narrower scope than an audit, and is undertaken for the purpose of providing limited assurance that the management’s representations are in accordance with identified financial reporting standards. Our professionals recognize that in order to conduct a quality financial statement review, it is important to look beyond the accounting entries to the underlying activities and operations that give rise to them.

Mai is a partner in the Advisory Services (AS) practice area. Prior to that, she was a partner in Audit & Assurance before she moved to AS in which she has gained a wide-ranging experience in the audit of local and multinational companies in various industries.

Mai has been in public accounting for nearly 35 years. She has significant experience in supporting local businesses and foreign investors with their private equity investment acquisition and disposals which includes due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring and post-acquisition support. She also has significant experience in the performance of IPO and supporting family businesses and corporations transform their corporate governance and internal control systems and business processes.

For a year and a half, Mai worked with the New York office of a leading international accounting firm, where she specialised in the audit of major real estate Company in the United States.

Mai has been a regular resource speaker on various P&A Grant Thornton public and in-house seminars. She was the lead audit partner of the special audit engagement team that won a Founders' Award, the highest form of recognition for team excellence at P&A Grant Thornton.

She served in European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) as a coach/ mentor practitioner, Mai completed the Strategic Marketing Management Program from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford University California. She also completed the Professional Directors Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors. She was also a part of the Management Development Program of the Asian Institute of Management, gaining a mark of Superior Performance. Mai also received her Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, cum laude, from the University of the East.
