Virtually present were Picpa President Lope “Jun” Bato Jr., Picpa Executive Director Estelita Aguirre and Picpa National Sectorial Director for Education Allan Frank Silva.

The Search for Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines is an annual, nationwide competition for accountancy students. It aims to recognize the best accounting students in the country through a series of qualifying written and oral examinations.

In the coming weeks, a formal invitation will be sent to deans or accountancy chairpersons of participating institutions to nominate candidates for the competition. To be eligible, these candidates must be formally endorsed to represent the academic institution and currently enrolled, at a minimum, as a third year BS Accountancy student in good moral standing.

The competition will be conducted in four qualifying examinations, and all the events will be done virtually. The remote contest rounds will commence across the country, beginning January 2021 and end by April 2021.
